Created by Stephanie Vlahos this piece is centred around Carmen, a mean and sensual cheerleader who jokingly dates Jose, the school outcast. With an air of ‘Spring Awakening’, the scenes are punctuated by solos in which some of the teens share their thoughts and struggles in their quest for identity.

With one word in mind – popularity – the characters bully, ignore and sometimes help each other.

The story of a joke gone wrong, big-cast musical ‘Carmen High’ presents the lives of teenagers in an American high school.
