Bridget Graham

Bridget Graham is an LA based Vocalist ,Songwriter and Multimedia Artist. Born in North Carolina, her southern roots are the foundation for her powerful soulful sound. Her formative years were spent in New York City, attending Hunter College, she has a background is in Theater Arts, Film and Documentary work at PBS Studios New York.
She is both Actress and Performance Artist.

Now based in LA, she has been immersed in various genres of music ,African, Jazz, Contemporary and Ethnomusicology .Locally she is known as a lead vocalist in the all female ensemble Adaawe. She is versed in the diverse languages and traditional music of the African diaspora. Teaching and performing in the genre of Ethnomusicology.
She has toured both nationally and internationally. Having recently toured in the UK with an original production We Are Adaawe , a show about inspirational women from Miriam Makeba to Helen Keller. A Multimedia performance with high octane drumming, singing, dance and stories.
Local venues include  Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, The Hollywood Bowl, The Dorothy Chandler, The Skirball Center, House of Blues , The Annenberg, The Hammer Museum and LACMA.
She has opened for such artist as James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Los Lobos, Pancho Sanchez, Micheal Franti and others.
She has  recorded and performed  with international artists Baba Olatunji, David Ornette Cherry, Kazia Jones, and Rocky Dowuni.


She is also committed to humanitarian work such as Venice Arts Mecca, Human Rights Watch, and the Jane Goodall foundation. An active member in the Venice Arts council, In 2005 Bridget was voted Diva of Venice for her artistic contributions to the Venice Community.
Currently her vocals have been contracted in film , television and commercials. She is also working on a solo album  that showcases her soulful eclectic roots.
Bridget is a passionate dynamic performer, whose musical journey encompasses the world.
